The guttering installer then installs industrial sized gutters with the smaller domestic sized downpipes.

All too often we see guttering installers quoting on aluminium gutters however when it comes to the installation they install steel. There is nothing wrong with installing steel gutters, in fact most often these are what we recommend. However, aluminium is a more expensive material and the owner feels he is getting a superior product compared to what other guttering installers may have quoted. PS. A quick tip to see if your gutters are aluminium or not is to place a magnet against them and see if the magnet sticks. If it does then they are steel gutters.
